This explains what happens to information about you when you use this website. It is short because the site does very little with it.
Omni Digital Ltd is the data controller. We are at Second Floor, A Block West, Underfall Yard, Cumberland Road, Bristol BS1 6XG, registered in England, company no. 3601961. For anything on this page, write to [email protected] or call 0117 917 7100.
When you just read the site
Nothing is stored on your device and no account is involved. The site is static: the pages are files, served by Cloudflare, and there is no database behind them.
Cloudflare records the ordinary details of each request, including your IP address, so it can deliver the site and block attacks on it. That is Cloudflare acting for us under a contract, and those logs are kept for a short period and then deleted. We do not read them page by page and we cannot use them to identify you.
Cookies and analytics
No analytics runs until you say yes. When you first arrive you are asked, and refusing takes one click and is remembered the same as agreeing. Until you agree, Google Analytics is not loaded at all, so it cannot set anything or see anything.
If you agree, we use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people read and what they do next. Advertising features and Google signals are switched off, your IP address is shortened before it is stored, and nothing is shared with anyone for marketing.
Your answer is kept in your browser's local storage under the name omni-consent. It never leaves your device and it is not a cookie. Change your mind at any time with the Cookies link at the foot of any page; refusing after having agreed also deletes the analytics cookies already set.
| Name | Set by | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
omni-consent | This site | Remembers whether you agreed to analytics. Local storage, not a cookie. | Until you clear it |
_ga | Google Analytics | Tells one browser apart from another, so a repeat visit is not counted twice. | 2 years |
_ga_4HV1DFL6B6 | Google Analytics | Keeps track of a single visit. | 2 years |
When you get in touch
If you email us or fill in a form on this site, we keep what you send: your name, your email address, anything else you choose to tell us, and our replies. We use it to answer you and to do the work if you become a client. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not sell or share it.
Email reaches our Google Workspace mailboxes. We keep enquiries that go nowhere for about two years, in case you come back, and correspondence with clients for as long as we work together and six years afterwards, which is how long we have to be able to account for our work.
Why we are allowed to
For analytics, your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. For answering your message and doing the work, our legitimate interest in running the business and, once you are a client, performing the contract. For keeping records afterwards, our legal obligations.
Who else is involved
Three companies, each under a contract that limits what they may do with it: Cloudflare, who serve the site; Google, for Workspace email and, with your consent, Analytics; and our accountants, for records that turn into invoices.
Some of that processing happens outside the UK, including in the United States, under the transfer safeguards those contracts provide. Nobody else gets your information unless the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, ask us to stop using it, or object to us using it at all. Ask at [email protected] and we will reply within a month. There is no charge.
If you think we have got it wrong, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If what we do changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top changes too. There is no archive of old versions; this page is always what is true today.
