Overview


Omnifarious Group are looking for a Marketing and Sales Manager to help build our brand and increase new business leads across both the Omni Digital (Software Design and Development) and Omni Productions (Film and Video).

Working hours for this role are very flexible. At this early stage we are not looking for a full time member of staff but for someone who can allocate an ongoing flexible amount of hours over a working week. We assume there will be more time required upfront, but going forward we will most likely settle into a set amount of time per month in part led by your suggestions against what is required.

Our challenges


Omni Digital and Omni Productions are both busy, and very rarely have time available to allocate to marketing and sales. For many years, new business has been generated via positive word of mouth, organic Google search or personal networks.

At this point we are looking to grow the business and generate new business enquiries and recognise this requires a more focused effort on marketing and sales.

We are looking for someone to propose, develop and implement our marketing strategy to promote both sides of our business to make sure our message is being heard by the right people, and to stimulate new business.

You should have great communication skills; an uncanny ability to make social media platforms do your bidding; hawk-like attention to detail; a head full of ideas to keep things fresh.

You’ll need to possess the discipline and patience to bring a whole bunch of threads together on a regular basis to help create and implement a joined-up marketing strategy.

If you can work effectively remotely (e.g. from home) then you won’t always need to show your face, but there’s a desk available for you if you’re able to commute, and we’ll definitely want to see you around the place once in a while at the very least.

Responsibilities

  • Helping to ensure our marketing strategy is coherent, comprehensive and responsive
  • Composing compelling, regular social media messages; identifying and engaging with relevant people and groups to raise awareness of our offerings
  • Writing high-quality blog and case study content which is engaging and to the point
  • Ensuring our communications calendar is kept up to date and that target activities and campaign deadlines are set, met and measured
  • Exploring new methods and avenues to reach out to customers (events, networking, video, social etc.)
  • Carrying out and reporting back on competitor analysis
  • Measuring return on investment regards our own marketing campaigns

Applicants who make it through to the interview stage will be asked to propose how they might develop and manage a marketing strategy across the business initially and over a longer period of time.

Omni are based in the historic Underfall Boatyard on the Bristol Marina and believe it’s truly one of the best locations to work in Bristol.
