From the start, Omni has been a values-based business.

Omni has always strived to be a sustainable business, and we are proud to be a Certified B Corporation® – the global movement of people using business as a Force for Good.™

Historically we’ve always had a green policy in place that focussed heavily on recycling and energy usage. We encouraged progressive transport methods through cycle to work schemes and access to showers. However, we wanted to ensure that these self-monitored actions were accountable. This was when we discovered B Corps and commenced what they refer to as a company ‘Impact Assessment’.

This assessment is not just about recycling and whether or not you turn your lights off; it delves far deeper and supports you in evaluating how your company’s operations and business model impact your workers, community, environment and customers. From your supply chain and input materials to your charitable giving and employee benefits, B Corp certification proves that you are aware and committed to making positive and ongoing steps to change.

Are your values inline with ours with regards shaping a better world?

Customers are clearly rewarding values-based businesses, but there’s a very big catch: customers have become wary of accepting brands’ social and environmental claims at face value. This means that companies must provide customers with proof that they authentically demonstrate a commitment to social and environmental impact, and that’s where B Corps comes in. For example, a client recently got in touch and their first question was “Are your values inline with ours with regards shaping a better world?”. We were able to take them through the B Corps promise, and the question was easily answered.

Certified B Corporations meet higher standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability, and are accelerating a global culture shift to redefine success in business and build a more inclusive and sustainable economy.

There are currently over 2,655 Certified B Corporations from more than 150 industries in 60 countries, all with 1 unifying goal – to redefine success in business.

B Corps are important because they inspire all businesses to compete, not only to be the best in the world, but to be the best for the world.
