PHOTO COMPETITION WEBSITE
The Royal Photographic Society
A user generated content website for The RPS
Omni helped The Society develop its brief for www.imagecomp.org and then undertook the technical development and has provided on-going support for the project. Omni’s interest and involvement in the project has been more than a purely commercial arrangement which has benefitted The Society.
Michael Pritchard, Director General – The Royal Photographic Society
The Royal Photographic Society are celebrating a Summer of Sport inspired by the London 2012 Olympic games and are launching a Photographic Competition website housing User Generated Content.
As well as displaying perfectly on desktop machines, the site has been built using adaptive layouts, which cover tablet and mobile devices and already has some stunning photography being uploaded by users.
This website template we produced has since been re-pusposed by The RPS several times and most notably to run their yearly member competition that went from around 250 physical entries to over 8,500 this year.

The site has a sophisticated judging area and we have also built the it to be easily duplicatable in future, so going forward, The RPS can host and judge photography competitions for as many themes as they wish at minimal cost.
