Team Omni Walk

Omni team walk the four peaks
Nursing some seriously aching muscles, raging mosquito bites and a little sun stroke, the exhausted but happy Omni team have found their way safely back home after a challenging but immensely satisfying walk around the Four Peaks in the Brecon Beacons, South Wales.
This is now our third Omni day trip and we've found each time that it's an incredibly valuable day out for the whole team. Everyone has a great time and they can use the opportunity to actually step away from their computer screens and mobile phones long enough to remember life without them.
It all went smoothly but the only slightly MacGyver'esk moment came when one of our team's boots literally broke in half after an hour of hiking and everyone rushed to the rescue tying the remaining pieces together with rucksack straps. Other than this moment of drama (and a few aching knees) it all went off without a hitch and the weather shined on us.
The Four Peaks are the highest points in South Wales and certainly felt like it! We set off at 08:30, arrived at around 10:00 and bar lunch and a few pit stops, we didn't stop walking until around 17:00 for a dip in an obscenely cold river, followed by a much needed pint in the local pub.
This walk is dedicated to John Roe, who at the last minute couldn't make it due to a pretty serious chest infection from playing cricket in the rain...aaaahh the British summer.
Thanks to everyone for making it such an enjoyable day.
NOTE: We'll be adding a Flickr feed of photos once they've all been collected from everyones different mobiles.
