NHS Safe Sex Campaign

Over a million views

The House of Omni have been working on a new NHS safe sex campaign with its sister company Omni Productions.

The campaign makes use of YouTube's linking video annotation system, which allows you to add links to the end of a video and direct the user through to another video on YouTube. Kind of like the old adventure books where you have to turn to chapter 10 to find the answer.

Well this time the question was whether you choose to buy a condom or not, and the choices you make along the journey then affect the overall outcome…either great (safe) sex…twice!!…or a trip to the clinic.

Helped with a small PR push, the media picked up momentum and the target audience feedback online has been positive and are now engaged in the debate around condom use.

The House of Omni developed the technical Information Architecture flow of the project, off the back of a great script by Richard Penfold, and developed the YouTube channel for the NHS.

The campaign has already notched up 1.5 million views from all over the world, so lets hope it helps raise awareness of the importance of condoms, which are still the only form of contraception which help protect against pregnancy as well as sexually transmitted infections.
